OBS-ready · zero setup

The streaming kit

Every scene a stream needs — starting soon, be right back, in-game overlay with a camera frame, and an ending screen. Server owners get their own live stats baked in; anyone else can grab the same kit generic.

Build your overlay

Put your name on it. Fill these in, watch the real overlay change beside you, then copy the five links into OBS. Nothing is saved anywhere — your settings live in the link itself, so bookmark it and it is yours.

Live preview of the real overlay at 1920×1080, scaled to fit.

Putting it in OBS

Once per scene. Five minutes for the whole kit.

In OBS, pick the scene you want this on — or make a new one, e.g. Starting Soon.

Under Sources, click + and choose Browser. Name it and press OK.

Paste your copied link into URL.

Set Width 1920 and Height 1080. This matters — the scenes are built at that exact size and will look cropped at anything else.

Tick Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, so the player count is current every time you cut to it.

Press OK. If it sits in the corner, right-click the source → TransformFit to screen.

Repeat for the other scenes. For In-game and Talking head, put the browser source above your game and camera — they are frames with transparent middles.

Changed your name or colour later? Rebuild the link above and paste the new one over the old URL. Nothing else to redo.

For server owners

Every Vardyn server already has its own configured copy of the full kit, live under its own site — pulling its real player count and server name automatically. Swap in your own slug below.

Take your server's site address — https://your-server.vardynbot.com.

Add /assets/stream/starting.html or /brb.html to it — that's your OBS Browser Source URL, already showing your live player count.

Set the source to 1920×1080 and you're done. No login, no config file.

Camera setup

Talking Head and In-Game Overlay both have a decorative frame only — your actual webcam is its own OBS source, layered underneath. Add it as a Video Capture Device, sized to fit the frame, and keep the browser source above it in your scene order.
